MC/Clown was disappointing.
The venue was great!! Easy in, easy out, no issues with parking and numerous decent restaurants within walking distance. There were eight of us, all sitting together, and we all have been to see the PBR before. Last time, by the end of the night, we wanted to elect the MC/Entertainment Clown (EC) as President! What a disappointed this year's MC/EC was (and I'm not talking about the bull fighters, who were AWESOME!). When facing the chutes, we were sitting to the left. 90% of the time, the MC/EC talked to and engaged with the right hand side of the arena. It was like he was blind in his left eye and had no idea there were a large number of fans sitting on the other side. It was so obvious that fans sitting near us began whistling and shouting "Hey, WE'RE OVER HERE." His performance, even though we mostly saw his back during it, was lack luster and rather boring. We also weren't impress with the announcers. They didn't do a good job of keeping the crowd informed. 7 riders had a qualifying score . . . ten moved on to the final round . . . why? How did they determine which 3 non-qualifying riders got to move on? In the final round, he didn't announce the rider's first round score and didn't tell us how many riders to go, didn't explain to the crowd WHY some of the riders got a re-ride. Because I've watched a lot of bull riding, I was pretty sure it was because the bull hit the gate coming out of the chute, but I'm sure there were a number of "newbies" that we confused by the whole thing. The riders and, especially the bulls, did their jobs. PBR just needs to work on the rest of the show.
